MADRID (Sporting Alert) — Liverpool are reportedly showing interest in signing Spanish winger Jesús Navas when the new transfer window opens next month.
Brendan Rodgers saw his Liverpool outfit falling way off the pace of the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea and he knows that adding better talents is the only way to get back into the title race next season.
Navas has been highly regarded by several top managers, including his Spanish national boss Del Bosque and Rodgers, according to Marca reports, is interested in bringing in the Sevilla attacker to the English Premier League (EPL) this summer.
It is believed that his Spanish side would also be interested in selling him as they look to free up extra money.
The report claimed that Navas would be allowed to leave the club for the right price and it is understood that Liverpool are preparing to make a bid.
According to sources, Rodgers is not at all convinced about Stewart Downing and is willing to let the England man go to make room for Navas.
