LIVERPOOL, Sporting Alert – Liverpool and Everton will renew their rivalry on Friday when the two sides battle in an all English Premier League clash in The FA Cup 3rd round at Anfield.
Today’s battle will be the 230th Merseyside derby, while the encounter will see the fierce rivals meeting for the 24th time in the FA Cup.
In this competition, Liverpool have won 10 of those games, losing seven and drawing the next six.
However, Liverpool have never beaten Everton in an FA Cup tie at Anfield. The two sides have played four times and drawn every one.

In team news heading into this one, central defender Michael Keane unlikely to feature, having required stitches in his foot during the defeat to Manchester United in the league.
Midfielder Idrissa Gueye remains doubtful after missing the Manchester United game with a hamstring injury, while wantaway attacking midfielder Ross Barkley has agreed to sign with Chelsea and will not be available.
But Wayne Rooney, Morgan Schneiderlin and Nathaniel Calvert-Lewin all start today for the visitors.

For Liverpool, newly acquired defender Virgil van Dijk will make his debut after his record-breaking £75m move from Southampton this week.
Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Roberto Firmino all start.
However, leading goalscorer Mohamed Salah and key playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who could leave Anfield in this transfer window, are both injured and unavailable.
Salah is out with a groin injury, while Coutinho, who has been heavily linked with a transfer move to Barcelona, has a thigh problem.
Loris Karius will start in goal for the Reds, who will continue to rotate players.
