(Sporting Alert) — Under fire manager Andre Villas-Boas will look for his first win of the season when his Tottenham side travel to Reading for this afternoon’s Barclays Premier League game at The Madejski Stadium.
The former Chelsea boss has been heavily criticized for his man management and a defeat to fellow early strugglers Reading today could heap further pressure on him.
In team news report for the game, Villas-Boas has decided to keep veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel as his first choice in the net, still leaving deadline day recruit Hugo Lloris searching for his opening action.
He has also left American international Clint Dempsey on the bench, with another signing Mousa Dembele starting in midfield for the first time since his move.
Top striker Emmanuel Adebayor remains on the bench, with Jermain Defoe getting the start in the attack.
Reading will be looking to pile on the pressure on the Spurs boss and could very do so with a win at home.
