(Sporting Alert) — David Luiz will start in midfield for Chelsea today as manager Rafael Benitez picks five defenders for the World Club Championship semi-final clash against Monterrey.
The Brazilian was picked alongside Cesar Azpilicueta, Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole, which suggested that he will play will John Obi Mikel and Oscar in the middle of pitch.
Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres lead the attack as Chelsea seek a place in the final.
Daniel Sturridge, John Terry, Ramires and Frank Lampard were all named amongst the substitutes, alongside Victor Moses, Marko Marin and Ryan Bertrand.
CONCACAF champions Monterrey named an unchanged team from the side that won its quarter-final clash over Ulsan Hyundai.
