Superstar forward Diego Milito netted a hat-trick and the attack-minded right-back Maicon scored a screamer in the victory.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored both goals for the defending champions AC Milan, which surrendered they crown to Juventus who defeated Cagliari 2-0 to lift their first Scudetto title since 2003.
Inter Milan went ahead in the 14th minute when Milito finished off a free-kick taken by attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder, which bounced off Walter Samuel.
However, goalkeeper Julio Cesar was called for a foul on Kevin Prince-Boateng and AC Milan were awarded a penalty kick, which Ibrahimovic converted, following some antics from Cesar, who was lucky to not see his second yellow card.
After the break though it was all Inter Milan, which got three more goals and sunk the dethroned champions, who never really looked interested after the interval, despite going up 2-1 when Ibrahimovic chipped over the out-rushing Cesar.
