Malaga v Borussia Dortmund: Live and Team News

MALAGA (Sporting Alert) — Marcel Schmelzer starts, but there was no Jakob Blaszczykowski in the Borussia Dortmund team for tonight’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Malaga at La Rosaleda.

Schmelzer, who was doubtful for the contest, starts in defense alongside Lukasz Piszczek, Neven Subotic and Felipe Santana.

The star-studded attack is headed by Premier League targets Marco Reus, Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski, with Kevin Grosskreutz also starting as well for Borussia Dortmund.

Defender Mats Hummels (ankle) is out of the game, but midfielder Sebastian Kehl, who had been bothered by rib problems, starts.

Spanish wonder-kid Isco and Argentine forward Javier Saviola are in the starting line-up for Malaga, which will be looking to continue to surprise football fans with their progress this season.

Júlio Baptista, Joaquín and Martín Demichelis start too, with Manchester City on loan forward Roque Santa Cruz on the bench.
