OLD TRAFFORD, Sporting Alert – Starting lineups and live streaming coverage for Manchester United and Chelsea in the English Premier League on Monday (28).
Wayne Rooney returns for Manchester United as manager Louis van Gaal makes four changes to his side from the one that was beaten 2-0 at Stoke City.
Rooney, who started on the bench against Stoke, comes back to lead the attacking line, while Michael Carrick, Phil Jones, Marouane Fellaini and Memphis Depay have all been dropped to the bench.
With Rooney back, Anthony Martial goes wide left in place of Depay, while Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is back from a three-match suspension, and Morgan Schneiderlin have all been drafted into the starting lineup.
Daley Blind goes back central to partner Chris Smalling in the heart of the defense with Ashley Young also playing in the back four.
Juan Mata also starts for Manchester United.
For Chelsea, key playmaker Eden Hazard returns to the starting lineup and he will start-up front with regular striker Diego Costa out of this clash due to a one-game suspension.
Cesc Fabregas also missed out for Chelsea because of illness so Jon Obi Mikel comes into Guus Hiddink’s team.
Both these teams are in desperate need of three points.
Entering this game, the Red Devils are winless in seven games, including losing four of those games and falling out of the race for a top four place.
Chelsea, at kick-off, were 16th in the EPL standings and need points if they are going to stay in the hunt for a Champions League place.
