The game could see Arsenal handing deadline day arrival Danny Welbeck his debut for the club after he moved to London from Manchester United on a £16 million fee.

The Gunners entertain the defending champions with an unbeaten record thus far this season, but have won just once from their opening three games in the EPL this term – a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in opening week.

Arsene Wenger’s side also comes into this contest undefeated in their last 19 Premier League games at home.

Key goalscoring midfielder Aaron Ramsey is doubtful for the game after the Arsenal man picked up an ankle problem in Wales’ 2-1 Euro 2016 qualification away victory at Andorra on Tuesday night.

The players thinks he’ll be good to go though.

“I’ll be alright,” said Ramsey. “The pitch was very hard. There’s no give in it so I rolled my ankle a bit.”

“Hopefully it will be nothing and I’ll be available for Saturday. These are the games you want to play in and I’m looking forward to it.”

Arsenal are already without Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott who remain on the injury list, although the latter is close to returning.

For Manchester City, they will be looking to bounce back from the shocking 1-0 defeat to Stoke City at home in their last outing.

Striker Stevan Jovetic and full-back Pablo Zabaleta are both doubtful for the Emirates Stadium battle, but midfielder Fernando could return to the team despite limping off the pitch in the first half of against Stoke.

The Citizens who have won their last three away matches in the Premier League, are being backed to bounce back against Arsenal, with Argentina forward Sergio Aguero amongst the favourites to score during the game.
