MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Manchester City have lost captain Vincent Kompany because of an injury in today’s Barclays Premier League Manchester derby against United here at Etihad Stadium.
Kompany had looked to be struggling in the early stages of the game and was eventually substituted in the 20th minute.
Kolo Toure has come on in his place and will partner Matija Nastasic in the central defensive position.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has scored twice to give Manchester United an early 2-0 lead against Manchester City.
But there is still lots of football to be played this afternoon.
