STOKE-ON-TRENT (Sporting Alert) — Argentine striker Sergio Aguero remains a doubt for Manchester City when they take on Stoke City in the Barclays Premier League at Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Aguero has been recovering well from a knee injury in picked up in the opening week of the season, but Manchester boss Roberto Mancini isn’t prepared to take any risk with Champions League action set to begin.
Mancini, however, will have Mario Balotelli after the Italian got the green light to play again, following a minor eye surgery.
Summer recruits Maicon, Matija Nastastic, Javi Garcia and winger Scott Sinclair could all play apart in the game, as the champions look to seal another win to keep tabs on the early leaders.
Former Manchester United forward Michael Owen is in line to make his debut for Stoke City after deciding to continue his Premier League career with Tony Pulis’ side.
