Everton lead the tie 2-1 — having won the first leg at Goodison Park on Jan 6, with the goals coming in each half from Ramiro Funes Mori and Romelu Lukaku.
Leading centre-back and captain Phil Jagielka could make his return to the Everton side for the second leg clash after he was rested at the weekend in the 2-1 defeat to Swansea City in the English Premier League.
The England international is expected to partner John Stones in the heart of the defense.
Fit-again right-back Seamus Coleman, who also started on the bench over the weekend, is set to start on Wednesday, having returned from an injury as a second-half substitute against Swansea City.
Midfielder James McCarthy is also in the squad, as he’s back from a groin problem, but fellow midfielder Muhamed Besic (hamstring) and forward Kevin Mirallas (tendon) — who were forced off the field early at the weekend, both miss out.
Joel Robles, in the meantime, will replace Tim Howard in goal for the visitors.
Meanwhile, Manchester City will also make a change in the goal, as Willy Caballero will continue to start in the domestic tournament games.
Again, he takes over for England No. 1 Joe Hart, who will be rested for this clash.
On the injured list for Manchester City, captain and leading centre-back Vincent Kompany (calf), fellow defender Eliaquim Mangala (hamstring) and left-back Aleksandar Kolarov (calf) are all out of this contest.
Missing from the match day squad as well are striker Wilfried Bony (calf) and playmaker Samir Nasri (hamstring), but Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Yaya Toure are all included.
