LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sporting Alert — Manchester United have announced his squad for the 2017 pre-season visit to the United States on Tour 2017, presented by Aon.
Among the players listed in the 27-man squad named by manager Jose Mourinho are new summer recruit Victor Lindelof, as well as youngsters Scott McTominay and Demetri Mitchell.
Experienced players David de Gea, Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marouane Fellaini are all in the squad.
It was also good to see promising attacking midfield playmaker Andreas Pereira, Luke Shaw and young goalkeeper Joel Pereira included in the squad as well.
Missing, though, is former captain and club all-time leading Wayne Rooney, who completed his return move to Everton after 13 years at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, striker Romelu Lukaku, who is set to complete his transfer move from Everton, subject to a medical and personal terms, will link up with the rest of the Red Devils during the week.
Manchester United will arrive in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon and will begin preseason training camp on Monday.
The English Premier League giants will play five matches during the preseason tour of the United States, with the opening game being against the LA Galaxy next Saturday.
Mourinho’s men also have International Champions Cup against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona in Houston, Santa Clara and Washington DC, on Thursday 20 July, 23 July and 26 July.
