Attacking midfielder Mkhitaryan joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund, while central defender Bailly made his move from Villarreal.

The club’s third signing this transfer window, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is yet to meet up with his new team-mates at Manchester United, as he’s been given extra time to rest after participating in the 2016 European Championship.

Also returning to regular first team training was left-back Luke Shaw, who suffered a season-ending leg injury in the early stages of last campaign.

Senior players Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Ashley Young, Ander Herrera, Adnan Januzaj, Memphis Depay and Phil Jones also trained, with youngsters James Wilson, Andreas Pereira, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Axel Tuanzebe, Joel Castro Pereira and Dean Henderson, all trained with the first team on Wednesday.

The Old Trafford outfit will get its 2016 pre-season fixture under way with a trip to Wigan on Saturday and manager Mourinho, who was appointed in May to replace the axed Louis van Gaal, could hand his new signings a runout.
