MUNICH (Sporting Alert) — Manchester United have agreed a fee to sign midfielder Toni Kroos from German champions Bayern Munich, according to the Daily Mail.
Manchester United has been constantly linked with a move for Kroos, with reports claiming that former manager David Moyes was close to tying up a deal while he was still in charge at Old Trafford.
Behind the scene negotiations had been taking place, even after Moyes was sacked, and it is understood that new Man United manager Louis van Gaal gave the green light that he wanted the midfielder.
Now the Daily Mail is reporting that the English giants have agreed a £20million deal for Kroos in an attempt to start to the rebuilding process at the club.
If these reports are indeed true, then it would be a massive addition for the Red Devils, which only finished seventh in the English Premier League this past season and has not qualified for any competition in Europe for the coming season.
