OLD TRAFFORD — Manchester United have named a strong starting lineup to face Derby County in Friday’s FA Cup third-round clash at Old Trafford.
Manager Jose Mourinho has decided to rotate his squad for today’s game with Sergio Romero, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Marcus Rashford among the players starting today.
There is also a rare place in the starting team for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who needs to rediscover his early season form if he wants to have a future with the English giants.
Paul Pogba will drive the team forward from midfield, where he will play alongside Ander Herrera, while Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard starts as well.
Romelu Lukaku is fit and available, but will start from the bench today, alongside Marouane Fellaini.
Meanwhile, Derby manager Gary Rowett makes six changes from the team that drww with Sheffield United in their Championship last time out.
Former Manchester United forward Tom Lawrence and Sam Winnall are among the players recalled, along with Andre Wisdom, Alex Pearce, Marcus Olsson and George Thorne.
Scott Carson, Tom Huddlestone and Andreas Weimann also start, while Matej Vydra is on the substitute bench with David Nugent.
