Rojo and Ibrahimovic both missed the EFL Cup win over Hull City in midweek because of injury and illness, respectively but are back in the starting team for Jose Mourinho.
Rojo will slot back into the heart of the defense and play alongside Phil Jones, while Ibrahimovic will lead the attack, replacing Wayne Rooney, who is back on the bench.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial also start, while Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford are among the substitutes alongside Rooney, who is one goal away from a record-setting 250th goal for Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are without defender Joel Matip after FIFA failed to give clearance over his decision to reject a call up to his national team for African Cup of Nations 2017.
Right-back Nathaniel Clyne (rib) will also not play for Liverpool today.
Teenager Trent Alex-Arnold has been handed his full Premier League debut today and could have a busy day going up against Manchester United winger Anthony Martial down the left side for the Red Devils.
“He’s made four appearances – but he’s a born and bred scouser. This will be a huge test for him against Martial today,” said former Liverpool defender and captain Jamie Carragher.
Captain Jordan Henderson is back in the starting XI, but fit-again forward Philippe Coutinho is only on the bench.
