DURHAM, N.C. (Sporting Alert) — Mason Plumlee collected a fine double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds in leading No. 1 Duke to comfortable 76-54 win over Elon University on Thursday night.
Plumlee, who pulled down eight offensive rebounds and seven defensive, shot 9-of-14 from the floor on a night when the Blue Devils (11-0) notched its 100th straight non-conference victory at the Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Ryan Kelly hit 3-of-5 from behind the arc in contributing 14 points, while freshman Rasheed Sulaimon added 13 points and four assists for Duke, who are now on 11 straight games this season.
Quinn Cook chipped in with a valuable 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Duke, which shot 43 percent from the field and 57.9 from three-point range.
Sebastian Koch led the scoring for Elon University (6-5) with 14 points and he also pulled down nine boards in the defeat.
Lucas Troutman scored 13 points and Jack Isenbarger had 12 for the Phoenix, who were held to 38 percent shooting from the field.
