Messi moves ahead: Top scorers of the La Liga – Updated Nov. 25

MADRID (Sporting Alert) — Lionel Messi netted twice on Sunday in Barcelona FC 4-0 La Liga win over Levante to extend his lead at the top of the goalscoring chart.

The Argentine forward moves to 19 goals on the season in the league, seven more than his closest follow in Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, who has 12 goals on the season.

The other players in double figure scoring this season already are Radamel Falcao of Atletico Madrid and he has 11 goals after netting from the penalty spot on Sunday in his team’s easy 4-0 win over ten-man Sevilla.
