MADRID, Sporting Alert – Lionel Messi and Ivan Rakitic are both in Barcelona squad for tomorrow’s Spanish La Liga El Clasico at Real Madrid.
Both players are returning to the squad after recovering from injuries and are available for selection on Saturday.
Messi is back in contention to feature after he recovered from a knee problem which kept him out of action since the game against Las Palmas on 26 September.

The 28-year-old returned to training during the international break and looked well set to face Real Madrid this weekend.
Meanwhile, energetic midfielder Rakitic is also available and was named in the 18 man squad for the matchup in the Santiago Bernabeu.
Rakitic had been down with a calf strain he sustained on Nov. 4 against BATE Borisov in the Champions League, but is back to help add more depth to Luis Enrique’s squad.
“[Rakitic] is good,” Enrique revealed on Friday. “I will speak with him after training and see what feedback I get.
“But it is good to have him back with us.”
While Messi and Rakitic are back in contention for selection, Rafinha and Douglas misses out because of injuries.
FC Barcelona also revealed on its website that Bartra and Masip did not travel with the team to Madrid.
Among the other players in the travelling squad for the El Clasico, are striker Luis Suarez and Neymar who led the attacking line when Messi was on the sidelines.
The pair guided the La Liga leaders to five wins in their last six league games and have scored all of the Catalans’ last 17 league goals.
Claudio Bravo, Javier Mascherano, Dani Alves, Jordi Alba and Andres Iniesta are also listed in the travelling setup.
