OKLAHOMA CITY (Sporting Alert) — LeBron James went on a shooting tear in the second quarter on his way 23 points and the Miami Heat lead the Oklahoma City Thunder 63-46 at half-time.

The defending champions took a 32-17 first quarter lead after forcing the hosts to take low-key shots here at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

But as expected, it was all about LeBron James highlight in the first half, as he scored 12 points in the second quarter to go into the break on 7-of-11 shooting, including 3-for-4 from three point range.

The Miami Heat star forward also pulled down eight rebounds, dished out four assists and picked off two steals.

Russell Westbrook has so far scored 20 points to lead the Thunder, while Kevin Durant, who only went 2-for-10 from the field, has 14 points.

Chris Bost has so far scored 12 point for the Miami Heat, which at one point led by as many as 17 points in the second quarter.
