Miami sign Chris Andersen on 10-day deal

MIAMI (Sporting Alert) — The Miami Heat have signed Chris Andersen to a 10 day contract Sunday morning.

Andersen, a former Denver Nuggets center, averaged 5.3 points and 4.6 rebounds  in the 2011-12 season.

The 34-year-old hasn’t played at all this new season after he was waived via the amnesty provision last summer by Denver and the Heat, after being linked with a move for him in recent weeks, have decided to take a chance.

Andersen has been working out with Miami for almost two weeks now and he replaces Josh Harrellson, whose 10-day contract expired this weekend.

I am your everyday laid back person who has been writing for over seven years after doing night classes to learn about my trade. I really like my job and work hard at doing it. I also like to take some time to just chill at the beach with my family when I am not traveling.
