MIAMI (Sporting Alert) — The Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls are locked 37-37 at half-time in their Eastern Conference semi-final Game clash at American Airlines Arena.
No Miami player has hit double figures in scoring, with Dwyane Wade leading the way with eight points.
The Heat shot 13-of-39 from the field in the first half for just 33-percent.
Chicago, meanwhile, is being led by Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah, who both have 10 points apiece.
Derrick Rose, in the meantime, could return for Game 2 of the series as the former MVP has been working very hard to give himself a good chance of making a comeback from surgery.
Rose went through a game time-like workout prior to the game tonight and he’s not ruling out making a return in this series.
Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau is not ruling out recalling his star point guard before the end of the season.
“Still in the air,” Rose said Monday. “I might have a chance.”
Rose also revealed that him trying to make a come back this season has nothing to do with internal or external pressure.
“I haven’t had any pressure from anyone – not in the organization, not from my teammates,” he said.
“They know I’m putting everything I have into trying to come back as fast as possible.
“But just trying to be smart with the whole situation and just take my time.”
The Bulls are without Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich for this first game of the series.
