PHILADELPHIA (Sporting Alert) — The situation called for experience and Michael Vick stepped up once again to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 24-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Down 23-17 late in the fourth quarter, the veteran quarterback cleverly ran the ball in to score from one yard out with just 1:55 remaining to lift to tied the game.
The Eagles went ahead with the field goal and defended well in the remaining minutes to seal the win and go 2-0 the early season action.
Vick also played a big part in the Eagles’ 17-16 in over the Cleveland Browns last week, despite throwing four interceptions during the game.
On Sunday he finished with 23 of 32 passes for 371 yards and his touchdown.
Vick also had two interceptions.
Joe Flacco had 22 of 42 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown for the Ravens in the defeat.
It was another sloppy day of football, as both teams failed to take proper care of the ball.
