(Sporting Alert) — Manchester United winger Nani has been cleared fit to start for Portugal in their Euro 2012 Group B game against Germany at Arena Lviv.

Nani had been doubtful for the game because of an injury to his right foot, but was added to the starting lineup for the important clash.

Also starting for Portugal is Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who knows and has acknowledged that he must have a productive game and tournament if Portugal are to advance far this year.

Joao Moutinho, Raul Meireles and Pepe have also been named in the starting team.

Germany, one of the powerhouse sides backed to win the entire tournament named a super strong side, led by captain Philipp Lahm, leading striker Mario Gomez and midfielder Thomas Muller.

Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski, Sami Khedira and Bastian Schweinsteiger are also starting, while sensations Mario Gotze and the speedy Marco Reus start on the bench.


The 2012 Euro tournament started on Friday, June 8 – games will be televised live on ESPN and its networks, including live streaming on ESPN3.com, ESPNDeportesand WatchESPN.
