Nash, who is suffering from a strained hamstring was listed as a game time decision for the contest after receiving shots to take care of in his back and on his hip, but Lakers are now reporting that the veteran point guard is inactive for Friday night’s game.
Los Angeles team officials say Darius Morris will replace him in the starting team, while Andrew Goudelock also comes in for Steve Blake.
The rest of the team is expected to stay the same, with Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Metta World-Peace also starting.
Nash joins the injured Kobe Bryant on the sidelines, while Steve Blake is also out with a hamstring injury.
The Lakers are down 2-0 in the seven game series.
Meanwhile, Tracy McGrady continues to be inactive for the San Antonio Spurs, but Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are both amongst the starters for the travelers.
