(Sporting Aler) — The Miami Heat, LA Lakers and the Memphis Grizzles both picked up wins in the NBA on Tuesday night, but Oklahoma Thunder and Denver Nuggets and both suffered defeats.
LeBron James continued his fantastic run of form on Tuesday night when he extended his streak of scoring at least 30 points with 60 percent shooting to six straight games with a 117-104 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
James collected 30 points and nine assists in the victory, Chris Bosh had 32 points and 11 boards, while Dwyane Wade supported with 24 points and nine rebounds for Miami.
Damian Lillard scored a game high 33 points to lead the Trail Blazers, who collected 29 from LaMarcus Aldridge.
Meanwhile, despite Kobe Bryant’s terrible shooting where he finished with just four points on 1-of-8 shooting from the field, and 0-for-4 from 3-point range, the Lakers managed to hold on for a 91-85 victory over the Phoenix Suns at home.
Dwight Howard paced the LA Lakers with a double/double of 19 points and 18 rebounds, while Antawn Jamison also finished with a double/double of 19 points and added 10 boards to his name.
The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Sacramento Kings 108-101 at FedExForum, with Marc Gasol scored 24 points and 12 rebounds for Memphis.
Oklahoma City Thunder, in the meantime, were beaten 109-94 by a very spirited Utah Jazz team which was determined not to lose to NBA beaten finalists at home. OKC’s Kevin Durant finished with a game high 33 points, but the combination of Al Jefferson (23), Paul Millsap (18) and Derrick Favors (15) was too much for the travelers.
