San Antonio take a 3-1 advantage in the series into tonight’s game and another win would mean they would have knocked off LeBron James and the two-time defending champions and lift the trophy.

The Spurs dominated Game 4 in the 107-86 victory in Miami on Thursday night and are just a win away from winning the championship.

However, despite sitting in the ideal position, the veteran team is not getting carried away.

“They’re going to come out and give us their best punch possible,” Spurs star forward Tim Duncan noted. “We know that they’re back-to-back champs and they’ve been in this situation before and they have all the confidence in the world that they can win these games.

“So we have to do just the same. Come out there and say, hey, we’re going to take it little by little, quarter by quarter, and see what happens.”

Dwyane Wade has been in this situation before when the Heat were two games in the 2006 finals against the Dallas Mavericks, but rallied to win the championship in six games, and star guard will not give up.

“I have very good reason that everything could change,” Wade said. “As I continue to say throughout the season, it’s a game-to-game thing.”

He added: “You have to pull from your experiences, and know where you came from to know where you’re trying to go.”

If the Miami Heat are going to win a third successive title, they will have to overcome a lot of obstacles, but Chris Bosh remains optimistic about this Game 5.

“We’re not going down. We’re going to win this game tonight,” Bosh said ahead of the game Sunday. “We’re going to come.

“We prepare like we need to do. Plain and simple, we’re going to win this game.”

Bosh added: “I don’t care about guarantees. We’re just going to win the game.”
