(09-December) —— The Philadelphia 76ers lead the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 61-59 at halftime in their NBA battle tonight at Wells Fargo Center here in Philadelphia. Joel Embiid scored 20 of his 25 first half points in the first quarter to lead the way for the Sixers, who shot 53.3% heading into the halftime break.

Embiid shot 10-of-11 in the first half and made 3 of his 4 attempts from 3-pointers while pulling down five rebounds. Tobias Harris has 12 points with five rebounds and two assists and James Harden had eight points and seven assists for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Meanwhile, Austin Reaves scored 12 of his 15 points in the second quarter and went into the interval shooting 6 of 7 from the field with two 3-pointers off the bench for Los Angeles, which shot 55% from the field in the first half.
