NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) —— Here are the latest NBA results from the games that were played around the league on a very busy night of action on Friday, December 3. A total of 11 games were played on Friday and after collecting all the fixtures, these are the updated NBA scores today.

Highlighting the fixtures on Friday was the thrilling showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks with both teams battling throughout the contest before being separated by four points when the final whistle was blown on the night.

Anthony Davis finished with 44 points to lead the way for the Lakers in the entertaining win, while Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks with 40 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a losing effort. Read the full report here.

In other reported NBA scores today, defending champions Golden State Warriors held off the Chicago Bulls, 119-111, the Brooklyn Nets topped the Toronto Raptors, 114-105 in an Eastern Conference battle, while Memphis Grizzlies 117, Philadelphia 76ers 109, while Ja Morant scored 28 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies past the Philadelphia 76ers 117-109. The Sixers were losing for second successive outing.

Elsewhere in the latest NBA results, Jimmy Butler returned to action after missing seven games with a knee injury to help the Miami Heat cool the Eastern Conference leaders Boston Celtics. Butler, who last played on Nov. 16 in the defeat to the Raptors, had 25 points and 15 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
