The best-of-three Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament is to be played on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, Sunday, June 7 and Monday, June 8 — with the last two dates on the schedule down for games that will go all the way in their respective series.

The committee also announced the respective seeds heading into the next phase of the 2015 NCAA College Baseball postseason.

Weekend action gets underway on Friday with VCU (40-23) playing at No.  5 Miami (FL) (47-15), with this fixture starting at 12 p.m. ET.

During Monday’s busy day of regional action, the VCU Rams upset Dallas Baptist 3-1 to win the Dallas Regional title and advance to its first-ever Super Regional in program history.

They will pitch-off against the Hurricanes, who hammered No. 3 seed Columbia 21-3 in the Coral Gables Regional championship game.

“A lot of our players played well, in particular,” head coach Jim Morris said. “It was a big effort. I want to congratulate Columbia on their season…they played hard.

“They’re a team that never gave up. I commend them for their effort, for their season, and for what they did at our ballpark.”
