TEAM NEWS Newcastle United v Chelsea

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has made one change to the side that thrashed Sheffield United 4-1 last time out in the English Premier League. As I reported in our preview yesterday, Brazilian defender Thiago Silva is out and he makes way at center-back for Antonio Rudiger.

Rudiger makes his first Premier League start and appearance of the season for Chelsea.

Kick-off time for this game is 7:30 am ET on Peacock TV

Full-back Ben Chilwell starts after recovering from the back issue he sustained while he was on international duty with the England team.

Meanwhile, for Newcastle United, boss Steve Bruce make four changes from the defeat to Southampton before the international break.

Despite returning to training this week and getting the backing of his manager, leading scorer Callum Wilson doesn’t make the team. It is understood the striker is still not fully fit as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. Joelinton comes in to replace Wilson, while Ciaran ClarkJavier Manquillo, and Isaac Hayden start as well.

Clark will make his first Premier League appearance of the season as part of what appears to be a three-man defence.

Wilson is out completely, but Fabian Schar, Jeff Hendrick and Miguel Almiron all drop to the bench.
