GREEN BAY, Wis. (Sporting Alert) — Results, scores and records from the NFL games that took place in Week 10 on Sunday, November 9.
One of the highlights from this week’s fixtures came from the Lambeau Field in Sunday Night Football, where quarterback Aaron Rodgers equalled his club game record and tied the NFL mark for a half when he threw for six touchdown passes in the first half in the Green Bay Packers’ convincing 55-14 win over the Chicago Bears.
Rodgers, who went 18-of-27 for 315 yards, tossed 73 and 40 yards touchdown passes to Jordy Nelson, as well as connecting with Brandon Bostick, Andrew Quarless, Eddie Lacy and Randall Cobb, as the Packers (6-3) led 42-0 at halftime.
Rodgers was then replaced in the third quarter.
Nelson finished the contest with six catches for 152 yards.
“We just kind of got things going our way,” Rodgers told reporters after the game. “The line did a good job of giving me time to extend plays.
“If you extend plays, you look down the field and there’s Jordy Nelson. He made some nice catches.”
Jay Cutler was 22-of-37 for 272 yards and one touchdown for Chicago (3-6), while Matt Forte was held for just 54 yards on 17 carries.
At the O.co Coliseum, Peyton Manning and Denver Broncos recovered from a slow start to keep the Oakland Raiders winless on the season.
