NFL Week 5 Scores: Las Vegas Raiders edged Green Bay Packers, 17-13

The latest NFL scores and results from the games played today

Las Vegas, NV — In a Monday night showdown that was less about offensive fireworks and more about defensive prowess, the Las Vegas Raiders snapped an eight-game losing streak against the Green Bay Packers with a 17-13 win at Allegiant Stadium.

Linebacker Robert Spillane and cornerback Amik Robertson were the defensive linchpins for the Raiders. Spillane, with just one career interception before the game, picked off Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love twice. Robertson sealed the game with a crucial interception in the end zone.

“One of the best interceptions I’ve ever seen in my life,” Spillane said of Robertson’s game-ending pick.

Offensive Struggles on Both Sides

The Raiders’ offense did just enough to secure the win. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 22 of 31 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown but also threw his NFL-high seventh interception.

On the other side, Love was 16 of 30 for 182 yards and three interceptions. “I’ve got to be better,” Love admitted.

Both teams had their chances but failed to capitalize fully. The Raiders could have extended their lead after one of Spillane’s interceptions but settled for a field goal.

The Packers, meanwhile, squandered a golden opportunity when a 77-yard completion and a penalty put them at the Raiders’ 3-yard line, only to settle for a field goal.

Breaking the Streak

The win was significant for the Raiders, who last defeated the Packers in 1987. “A lot of credit for hanging in there and grinding it out,” said Raiders coach Josh McDaniels.
