(Sporting Alert) — The following is the schedule for the National Football League (NFL) games that will be on this weekend – Week 8.
Amongst the highlighted games down on Sunday is the clash between the undefeated Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Falcons (6-0) have been playing very well this season so far and remain the only unbeaten team this campaign, yet coach Mike Smith believes their is still room for improvement.
“We’ve got to be consistent in everything we do,” he said. “We haven’t run the ball consistently, and we’re not stopping the run.
“Those two things stand out the most.”
He added: “Most of it is about us. We’ve got to go out, and we have to execute.
“We’ve got to be prepared for some unscouted looks, and I don’t think there will be a mass change in what they do philosophically because they’ve invested so much time into the scheme that they’re running.”
Also in action on Sunday are the Washington Redskins going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a super NFC rivalry encounter between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.
New York Jets, looking to improved on its 3-4 record, entertain the Miami Dolphins.
On Monday NFC West big boys the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals will do battle.
The Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans (6-1) are amongst the bye teams this week.
