OSU men, women win Jamboree Cross Country titles – Team Results

STILLWATER, Okla. (Sporting Alert) — Oklahoma State won the men and women team titles at the 2012 Annual Cowboy Jamboree Cross Country meeting here in Stillwater Oklahoma, on Saturday.

On the men’s side, Dave Smith team took five of the top 10 places in the 8k race with Shadrack Kipchirchir leading the way with the overall individual title in a time of 24:29.17, Joseph Manilafasha (24:35.29) for third overall, Girma Mecheso (24:42.25) for fourth, Fabian Clarkson (24:55.42) in fifth and Kirubel Erassa (24:58.42), seventh were the top five finishers for the host, which collected 20 points and win the 19 team contest.

The women scored 34 points to take the team title, while Monika Juodeskaite (17:25.71) , Kate Kujawa (18:07.20) , Jacqueline Campos (18:14.88) , Samantha Nightingale (18:17.44) and Victoria Hanna (18:17.53), all finished in the top 10.
