LOS ANGELES – ESPN is now reporting that former Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls coach Phil Jackson and longtime girlfriend Jeanie Buss are now engaged.
Jeanie, the daughter of the Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss, wrote on her Twitter account on Thursday night: “Twitter family – Phil finally gave me that ring I wanted!
Jeanie also posted an image of the ring on her account for everyone to see.
The pair have been together since 2001.
“I’m beyond happy,” Buss told ESPNLosAngeles.com on Thursday.
“I really didn’t want it to be news but I knew people who followed me on Twitter cared about it and I’ve been wearing the ring since Christmas so I figured I should let people know.”
