CHICAGO, Sporting Alert – The Philadelphia Eagles hunt their second win of the season when they travel to face the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football at Soldier Field.

Kickoff time for this encounter is set for 8:30 PM ET and will be streaming live on WatchESPN and ESPN.

TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN, WatchESPN Stream. LINE: Bears -4. O/U: 43. Livescore: ESPN Livescores

The Eagles won their last outing, sealing a 29-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns, with Carson Wentz throwing for two touchdowns in helping his team covered the game as a 4-point favourite.

The Bears, meanwhile, suffered a 23-14 defeat at the hands of the Houston Texans on the road, but are looking forward to bouncing back.

Jay Cutler passed for 216 yards and one touchdown with an interception in that defeat, while Alshon Jeffery had 105 receiving yards.

Philadelphia and Chicago last met in a competitive game in December 2013, with the Eagles running away with the contest 54-11, as Cutler and co. struggled to get going on offense.

Going into today’s Monday Night Football fixture, all eyes will be on Eagles’ rookie quarterback Wentz, who impressed many with his performance in Week 1.

Philadelphia QB coach John DeFilippo revealed that he was sold on Wentz from the first time he watched him in a session for the Senior Bowl – adding he recognized that he saw something special in the former North Dakota State ball distributor.

“I saw him on TV for the first time and I was like, ‘I have to go research this guy,'” DeFilippo recalls.

“I was sold on him from the first time I watched him practice at the Senior Bowl,” DeFilippo said.

“The number one guy that stood out on the field was him. The way he ran from drill to drill, the way he bounced around at practice, you could tell he was leading the guys in the offense.

“The guys he just met and was in the huddle with for the first time. Honestly, that’s when I knew: This guy’s got something to him.”

After impressing on his pro debut against the Browns, Wentz is looking forward to delivering another productive performance in Week 2.

Ahead of kickoff time, oddsmakers listed the Bears as 3-point favourites, with Chicago holding a 58.5-percent chance of winning, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index.
