LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Tottenham is set to be without winger Aaron Lennon for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League game at Chelsea as they seek to stop a poor run of games in recent weeks.
Lennon returned to training on Thursday and also worked out on Friday, but the England international is yet to fully recovered from a hamstring injury and manager Harry Redknapp, reportedly will not take any chances at playing him.
There are doubts about leading striker Emmanuel Adebayor as well.
The Togo forward has a hamstring injury and could miss the important fixture. He and defender Ledley King (knee) will have late fitness tests.
Chelsea, in the meantime welcome back captain John Terry, who missed the defeat at Manchester City because of a knee injury.
Branislav Ivanovic, who suffered a thigh problem during the game against City at the Etihad Stadium is doubtful.
