Premier League Table Standings, Scores: Week 7 on Sep. 29

LONDON, Sporting Alert – English Premier League results and points standings after the list of completed games that took place in Week 7.

Manchester United moved to the top of the EPL table after picking up a 3-0 victory over bottom side Sunderland at Old Trafford and Manchester City went down at Tottenham.

Louis van Gaal Red Devils, who have won three Premier League games in a row, moved to 16 points, one more than city rivals Man City.

The Citizens started the campaign on a five-game winning streak without conceding a single goal, but have since dropped two games in a row in the EPL, with the latest being a thumping 4-1 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.

West Ham United, despite failing to beat Norwich City at home, are sitting third in the league standings with 13 points, the same as Arsenal who climbed into the top four with a commanding 5-2 victory over Leicester City – with Alexis Sanchez netting a hat-trick for the Gunners.

Everton are up to fifth with 12 points after coming from two goals down to edge West Bromwich on Monday, with Tottenham and Crystal Palace who edged Watford 1-0 also on 12 points in sixth and seventh, respectively

Defending champions Chelsea rallied from a two-goal deficit and a poor first half performance to finish 2-2 at Newcastle United, but they still sit 15th in the standings, while Daniel Sturridge scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.

Leicester City (12pts) who dropped their first game of the season at the weekend, Liverpool (11pts) and Southampton (9pts) complete the top 10.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Sunderland are the teams currently sitting in the relegation zone of the Premier League table standings.
