As Promised, Wenger Names Strong Arsenal Starting Team For Bradford Clash

BRADFORD (Sporting Alert) — Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger named a very strong side for tonight’s Capital One Cup quarter-final clash with Bradford at Coral Windows Stadium.

The Frenchman promised to play a strong line-up tonight and he certainly kept his word, with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski, Thomas Vermaelen and Wojciech Szczęsny all amongst the starters.

Gervinho, Aaron Ramsey and German defender Per Mertesacker are also in Wenger’s first XI, while a strong bench that includes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta will serve as useful backups.

Bradford will be hoping to cause an upset, but the home side knows that it will not be any easy task.
