KINGSTON, Jamiaca (Sporting Alert) — West Ham United youngster Ravel Morrison has admitted that he is thinking about making himself available to play for the Jamaican national football team instead of England.
The former Manchester United attacking midfielder is eligible to represent Jamaica because his mother is from the Caribbean national.
Morrison, who represented England at the Under-18 level said on his Twitter account: “Should I go play for Jamaica hmmm…
“Thinking time. In 2 minds.”
Jamaica could certainly use a player of Morrison calibre ahead of the final World Cup CONCACAF group stage, with the national coach Theodore Whitmore said to be very interested if he wants to play.
