Real Madrid 20-man squad for Deportivo clach

(Sporting Alert) — Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has named his 20-man squad for today’s Spanish La Liga game against Deportivo at the Riazor.

Real Madrid are 16 points behind leaders Barcelona in the La Liga standings and will be looking to secure all three points, despite giving up on retaining the crown they won last season.

One player who is not in the squad for the clash is defender Raphael Varane after suffering what the club described as a “minor muscular discomfort” and did not travel.

“Raphael Varane won’t be playing this afternoon against Deportivo in Riazor. The French centre back is suffering minor muscular discomfort and won’t be going up against the team from Coruña,” Real Madrid said on its official website at www.realmadrid.com.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria, Marcelo, Pepe, Kaka, Luka Modric, Mesut Ozil and Alvaro Morata are all included and travelled.
