Real Madrid: Iker Casillas benched vs Malaga

(Sporting Alert) — Jose Mourinho has decided to leave his No. 1 goalkeeper and captain Iker Casillas out of his starting team for tonight’s La Liga clash at Malaga.With Casillas surprisingly dropped from the starting team to the bench, Antonio Adan will get a rare chance to start in goal tonight.

Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Alvaro Arbeloa and Michael Essien will play in the back line, with Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira starting at center midfield.

Mesut Ozil has once again given the nod over summer signing Luka Modric, while Angel Di Maria has also started in the attack with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Kaka, Modric and Jose Callejon are all amongst the substitutes sitting alongside Casillas.

The likes of Isco and Javier Saviola are amongst the starters for Malaga, with on-loan Manchester City forward Roque Santa Cruz and American defender Oguchi Onyewu both on the bench.
