Real Madrid land in Barcelona for sixth Clasico of the season

BARCELONA (Sporting Alert) — Cristiano Ronaldo and his Real Madrid teammates arrived in Barcelona for tonight’s El Clasico showdown with the hosts at Camp Nou.

Jose Mourinho and his men are four points ahead in the La Liga table standings and are confident of notching what could very be the decisive three-points to win the league title this season.

Real Madrid landed at El Prat airport and headed straight for their hotel, where they are expected to have a team meeting and remain at the hotel until kicks-off.

Tonight’s game, which Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says his team must win in order to keep their hopes alive of defending their league crown, will be the third time Real Madrid visit the Camp Nou this campaign.

The last time Real Madrid visited the Camp Nou, they came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw in the Copa del Rey, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scoring the goals late to cancel out Pedro and Dani Alves’ first half strikes.

Lionel Messi and Ronaldo have been in fantastic form so far this season – leading the scoring tables as expected – and they are expected to play a huge part in the outcome of tonight’s contest.

The fans are certainly buzzing as they approach the Stadium and are backing Barcelona to steal another game from Real Madrid and cut the gap to one point.
