Real Madrid v Real Betis: Lopez starts Casillas on the bench, Team News

MADRID (Sporting Alert) — Diego Lopez has been handed the starting gloves by manager Carlo Ancelotti to be in goal for Real Madrid in their opening La Liga clash against Real Betis at Santiago Bernabeu tonight.

Team captain and Spanish international Iker Casillas, who was also dropped by previous Madrid boss Jose Mourinho last term, starts on the bench tonight.

Pepe, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Sergio Ramos start as the centerbacks, while Daniel Carvajal and Marcelo are the fullbacks.

Also starting tonight is Manchester United reported targets Luka Modric and Mesut Ozil, while Sami Khedira, summer recruit Isco, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo also start as well.

Kaka is amongst the starters.

Barcelona opened with a 7-0 win over Levante and Real Madrid will be looking to repeat that.
