MADRID (Sporting Alert) – The agent of Luis Suarez says the player has no intentions of leaving English Premier League side Liverpool in the new transfer window this summer, but it is being reported that the striker has struck a deal to join Real Madrid.

Liverpool legend Steve McManaman said during commentary in April that he thinks Liverpool will sell Suarez.

Suarez recently admitted to being interested in a move to Real Madrid, following criticism from the British press which is making life difficult for him in the EPL.

“I love Liverpool, but if there is a chance of playing somewhere else … I suffered too much as a kid to get where I am to be attacked unfairly by the English press,” Suarez was quoted as telling Uruguayan radio station 890 Sport in an interview.

“They haven’t appreciated me as a player, they’ve just judged my attitude.

“I’m happy at Liverpool, I’m happy because of the fans. I made a mistake, I’m human, but [the press] talked about me in ways they shouldn’t have.

“My family have suffered and things got out of hand. My daughter and my wife have suffered. I’m not prepared to continue to put up with the English press.”

Both Real Madrid and Liverpool have declined to comment on Suarez’s situation and although his agent claims he will stay at Liverpool, Marca.com is reporting that “a deal to sign the Uruguayan has been struck between both parties.”

It was only recently sources confirmed that Liverpool was in the market for a striker, would mean Suarez had already made up his mind to leave Anfield.

The Striker was in outstanding goalscoring touch this past season, but his behavior led to several suspensions.
