Ronaldo has improved since Madrid move – Fergie

MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) – Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that Real Madrid from Manchester United.

Ronaldo played a vital part in Manchester United’s success during his time with the English Premier League side before making the £80million move three years ago to the La Liga.

Ferguson has been closely following the Portugal forward since his transfer to Madrid and the experienced boss, who was at the Etihad Stadium to watch Ronaldo play against Manchester City in the Champions League group stage, believes he’s mature since leaving Old Trafford.

“Maturity brings many things,” Ferguson told Inside United.

“When I went to see them play against City, some of his decision-making in terms of passing was brilliant. One-touch passing, good crosses.

“In the six years we had him, you just saw his game grow all the time, and he was a fantastic player.

“Now you see the complete player.

“His decision-making, his maturity, his experience, plus all the great skills he has got, they all make him the complete player.”

Ferguson has revealed on several occasions that Ronaldo has been one of the best players to represent Manchester United during his tenure.

The fans have been calling for Ronaldo to return to Man Utd, but Ferguson has admitted that the EPL side would find it difficult to match any transfer price tag Real Madrid would slap on him.

The speedy winger has revealed also that he misses playing for Man United, as well as being around his former teammates in England.

The 27-year-old is set for a huge reception, after the Red Devils were handed Real Madrid in the round of 16 knock-out phase.

Ferguson says Ronaldo can expect welcome  cheers from the fans at Old Trafford, but admits that these will then turn to jeers as the game goes on, seeing he’s now a Madrid pupil.
