(Sporting Alert) — Kaka, Luka Modric and Gonzalo Higuaín all start for Real Madrid in tonight’s Spanish La Liga clash with Real Sociedad at Anoeta, but there was no Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo and manager Jose Mourinho were handed two-match Spanish Cup suspensions for their red cards during the 2-1 Copa del Rey final defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Kaka will start in midfield with Modric and Sami Khedira, while Higuaín will lead the attack.
However, there was no Ronaldo, with Karim Benzema starting on the bench along with Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria.
Defender Pepe is on the bench, while Marcelo, Ricardo Carvalho, Raul Albiol and Alvaro Arbeloa all starting.
There were no Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos or Xabi Alonso in the squad.
Real Madrid will finish second to Barcelona in the La Liga table standings, while Mourinho is on his way out.
