MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero both start on the bench for Argentina in tonight’s football friendly international game against Portugal at Old Trafford.

However, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both start for their respective teams in the high-profiled exhibition.

Tevez has been in fabulous form for Juventus since his move from Manchester City two years again, while Aguero has been the the main-man this season for City in the EPL and Champions League.

But tonight Messi will be joined in the Argentina attack by Gonzalo Higuaín and Javier Pastore, with Manchester United forward Ángel Di María expected to link-up with the front three in the push for goals.

Lucas Biglia and Javier Mascherano will play the holding roles, while Martín Demichelis and Nicolás Otamendi are amongst the back four.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, leads the Portugal attack with an on form Nani also involved in the first XI tonight.

Pepe, Danny, Tiago, Beto, José Bosingwa, and João Moutinho also start this contest.

Pablo Zabaleta, Ever Banega and Nicolas Gaitán all start on the bench for Argentina, with the likes of Ricardo Quaresma, Bruno Alves, William Carvalho, Hélder Postiga and Éder all subs for Portugal.

Another highlighted friendly on Tuesday night puts reigning World champions Germany up against the 2010 champs, Spain.

As expected, Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas starts between the sticks with David de Gea still carrying a finger injury he picked up in training last week.

Thomas Müller, Mario Götze, Toni Kroos, Sami Khedira, Benedikt Höwedes and Antonio Rüdiger are all starters for Germany, but Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski continues to be on the bench.

Gerard Piqué, Sergio Ramos, César Azpilicueta, Sergio Busquets and Isco start the game for Spain, who named Álvaro Morata as the lone forward.

Raúl Albiol, Marc Bartra, Juanfran, Jordi Alba, Koke, José Callejón, Santi Cazorla, Paco Alcacer and Pedro are all on the bench and could play some part in the game later.
