MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Stand-in manager Ryan Giggs makes five changes to his starting line-up for today’s English Premier League clash with Sunderland.

Most notable missing from the side is striker Wayne Rooney, who misses out due to illness, as well as a minor groin injury.
Wingers Nani, and Ashley Young are both in the starting team, along with Juan Mata, who started on the bench against against Norwich, while Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic both play in the heart of the backline.
Darren Fletcher plays in the midfield as well, while and Javier Hernandez leads the attack. Robin van Persie, out injured with a knee problem since March, is back in the squad for first time, but starts on the bench.
Danny Welbeck, Antonio Valencia, Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj are all on the bench as well, but Shinji Kagawa is not in the squad.
Meanwhile, for Sunderland, they are unchanged from last weekend’s victory against Cardiff City.
